What is planned
Centro Ciência Viva de Tavira is marking International Observe the Moon Night with a public session at the Roman Bridge. From 20:00, participants can view the Moon through telescopes and learn about its visible features.
The event is free and forms part of an international astronomy initiative linked to NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission and planetary-science outreach.
Before you go
Check the organiser's latest notice if the sky is cloudy or rain is possible. Astronomy events depend on visibility, and an organiser may alter the observing element while keeping an educational activity.
Allow time to park away from the historic centre and follow any queue or equipment instructions. Do not touch a telescope or use a bright light near it unless the event team invites you to do so.
