ACCESSIBILITY

Designed to work beyond one screen or one way of using it.

The Hub targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the accessible e-commerce principles that apply to services offered in Portugal.

Reviewed 26 August 2026
Keyboard

Navigation, dialogs, forms and core actions are intended to work without a mouse.

Responsive

Content reflows from compact phones through tablets, laptops and wide desktop displays.

Plain language

Actions, trust states, paid placement and advice boundaries are described directly.

01

Current measures

Pages use semantic headings, labelled fields, visible keyboard focus, a skip link, focus-managed dialogs, reduced-motion support, responsive layouts, alternative text for meaningful images and text alternatives alongside key interactive maps and charts.

02

Known limitations

Third-party Windy, Jitsi and Sofia interfaces can expose controls outside the Hub’s direct accessibility control. Dense weather, surf and map visualisations are easier to understand visually than through a screen reader, so the Hub also provides searchable place forecasts, tables and explanatory text. Some historical and metadata labels are still being enlarged and reviewed.

03

Compatibility and testing

The launch audit covers current Chromium-based browsers at phone, tablet, laptop and wide-screen sizes, keyboard-only operation and automated accessibility checks. This statement does not claim that every assistive-technology combination has been certified.

04

Report a barrier

Use the accessibility contact form and include the page, task, device or assistive technology and what stopped you. We will review the report and prioritise barriers to essential information, forms and paid services.
