- Other Portuguese rally events may still take place separately.
A break after earlier expectations
The Automóvel Club de Portugal announced the absence after discussions about the championship calendar. That changes earlier expectations that the Portuguese round would continue through 2028.
The statement refers to the WRC round. It does not cancel every national or regional rally, and it does not guarantee Portugal a place in 2028.
Do not book around an assumed date
Wait for the official calendar and organiser ticketing before paying for travel or accommodation sold as a Rally de Portugal package. Check cancellation terms where a business is promoting an unofficial date.
Local businesses should plan 2027 without the event's usual demand unless a separate confirmed programme replaces it.
What you can do now.
- 01
Use the organiser and WRC calendar for confirmed dates.
- 02
Avoid non-refundable bookings tied to an unofficial event.
- 03
Check local calendars for separate rally events.
