IN BRIEF

A new or returning student should secure BeOn access early and submit verified household, income and banking information before the applicable deadline.

  • The standard 2026/27 window is 14 August to 2 October.
  • A student enrolled before 2 October always has 20 working days from enrolment to apply.
  • Applications from 3 October to 31 May may receive only a proportional award.
  • BeOn grant credentials are separate from national-access login credentials.
01

Know which deadline applies to you

DGES has set the normal 2026/27 study-grant application period from 14 August to 2 October. A student whose enrolment happens before 2 October still has 20 working days from that enrolment date, even if the resulting deadline falls later.

Applications can continue between 3 October and 31 May, but the award is generally calculated only from the month after submission to the end of the academic period. Applying late can therefore reduce the amount received.

02

Access is through BeOn

The application is made online through BeOn. Its username and password are not the same as the credentials used for the national higher-education application.

First-time applicants may receive a link after indicating their interest during the national application. Students without access should contact the social-action service at their university or polytechnic rather than create assumptions from an unofficial form.

03

Check the application before submitting

BeOn uses personal, household, income, property and banking information to assess eligibility. Submit only after checking the entries and documents, because most substantive changes after submission must be requested through the institution's social-action service.

Save the submission confirmation and monitor the BeOn result area. A submitted application is not an automatic award, and accommodation support can involve additional evidence about displacement and housing costs.

  4. 04

Submit early and save the confirmation.
