Final 2026 public higher-education application phase closes on 12 October
Portugal's third national admissions phase is open from 10 to 12 October, giving eligible applicants a short final window to apply for remaining public higher-education places.

Archived 12 September 2026This is a live deadline. Applicants need the 2026 portal password, the current vacancy list and a checked preference order before submitting.
- The third-phase application window runs from 10 to 12 October.
- Applications are submitted through the official online admissions portal.
- A placement in a later phase can cancel an earlier placement and enrolment under the national rules.
Use the official vacancy list
Third-phase places are the remaining course-and-institution combinations published by the higher-education authority. Do not assume a course that appeared in an earlier phase is still available.
Applicants need a valid 2026 access password. Anyone without one must follow the official password process and contact the relevant access office immediately because the window is short.
Preference order has consequences
Candidates can rank up to six institution/course pairs. Put them in genuine preference order and check entry subjects, minimum marks and any prerequisites before submitting.
Under the national competition rules, being placed in a later phase can cancel an earlier placement and its registration. Save the submission receipt and monitor the official account for the result and enrolment deadline.
