IN BRIEF

Applicants should use the waiting period to prepare documents and costs without assuming a place until the official result appears.

  • Second-phase applications ran from 18 to 20 September.
  • DGES schedules results for 30 September.
  • The timetable after placement is short, so applicants should review enrolment instructions now.
  • An applicant who already holds a first-phase place should understand how a later placement affects it before making commitments.
01

What happens next

DGES will publish the second-phase placement result through the official competition process. Institutions then handle enrolment and registration under the published timetable and their own operational instructions.

Until the result is issued, a submitted application is not a place. Housing, travel and tuition planning can continue, but avoid a non-refundable commitment that depends entirely on one course or city unless the contract protects that uncertainty.

02

Prepare for a short decision window

Keep the application receipt and login details accessible. Check the email address and mobile number linked to the application, but rely on the official DGES result rather than an informal message or social-media post.

Review the institution's enrolment documents, payment method, accommodation options and support contacts in advance. International applicants should also separate admission from immigration, residence and document-recognition requirements, which follow their own rules.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Keep the DGES application receipt and credentials safe.

  2. 02

Check the chosen institutions' enrolment document lists.

  3. 03

Avoid irreversible housing costs before the official placement result.

  4. 04

Read the official result on 30 September.
