IN BRIEF

This is a forecast, not a regulated nationwide price: the final change can vary by brand, station, location, timing and loyalty discount.

  • The current estimate is a fall of about €0.03 per litre for diesel and petrol.
  • Retailers set their own prices, so not every station will move by the same amount.
  • DGEG's live price portal is the better source for a specific journey.
01

An estimate before the pumps change

Current reporting based on sector estimates points to a reduction of around three cents per litre from Monday. The calculation uses market movements before retailers publish their final prices.

The estimate can change with the final market close and commercial decisions. It should not be presented as a guaranteed saving at every filling station.

Compare the price you can actually buy

Use the DGEG fuel-price portal to compare the correct product and nearby stations. Check the update time and whether a displayed price depends on a card, voucher or membership.

For a small purchase, driving a long distance for a lower advertised price may cost more than it saves. Compare the full route and the litres you expect to buy.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Check DGEG prices on Monday before travelling.

  2. 02

Confirm whether a discount has conditions.

  3. 03

Compare the total journey cost, not only cents per litre.
