The dates are now part of the official calendar
Formula 1 and the FIA have placed Portugal on the 2027 championship calendar from 18 to 20 June. The race will be held at the Algarve International Circuit near Portimão, returning to the venue that hosted the 2020 and 2021 grands prix.
The Portuguese event is also covered by a two-year agreement for 2027 and 2028. The newly confirmed dates apply to the 2027 race; the 2028 weekend has not yet been dated.
What is known about ticket sales
The official Portuguese event site displays a countdown to 10:30 on Monday, 21 September. The opening phase is expected to include three-day general-admission passes, seats in the grandstands and hospitality options.
Prices were not published at the time of this review. Do not rely on an unverified price circulating on social media, and do not confuse joining a waiting list with completing a purchase.
Plan the whole Portimão journey
The circuit is about 10 kilometres from central Portimão and roughly 65 kilometres from Faro Airport. A race ticket does not solve the final journey, parking or accommodation, and event traffic can make ordinary travel times unrealistic.
Compare refundable accommodation, the circuit's eventual transport plan and the terms of the ticket before committing. If accessible seating or mobility assistance is needed, use the dedicated official purchase route rather than assuming every grandstand has the same access.
