Portuguese TVDE app POP starts operating in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley
POP says it registered more than 2,000 passengers and about 500 drivers in its first ten days after starting operations on 1 October.

Archived 12 September 2026The service is a new option rather than a promise of immediate coverage. Check the live app for a vehicle, fare and pickup point before relying on it for a timed journey.
- POP currently identifies Lisbon and the Tagus Valley as its operating launch area.
- The passenger and driver totals are company-reported registrations, not completed-trip numbers.
- The operator states that it holds IMT electronic-platform manager licence 257/2025.
Availability will vary while the network grows
Registration totals do not show how many drivers are online in a particular municipality or at a particular hour. Compare the quoted wait, final fare and pickup location before confirming.
For an airport, appointment or last public-transport connection, keep an alternative until the app has matched a driver and the journey is underway.
Passengers and drivers should read the right terms
Passengers should use the official store listing and check cancellation, safety, support and accessibility information in the current app. A marketing description is not a guarantee for every trip.
Drivers act through licensed TVDE operators and have separate contractual, tax and regulatory duties. The POP driver terms say they do not replace the driver's agreement with the operator.
