Archived after its publication day. Search retains this original briefing for background and accountability.
Archived 12 September 2026The fair is an opportunity to explore the reserve with organised activities, but some sessions can have capacity or registration requirements. Visitors should use the current programme rather than assume every activity is walk-in.
- The municipal calendar confirms the event at Monte do Paio on 17 and 18 October.
- The programme is dedicated to nature tourism and the natural heritage of the Santo André and Sancha lagoons.
- Outdoor conditions and activity limits can change how a visitor participates.
The fair is based inside a protected landscape
ObservaLagunas brings nature interpretation and public activities to the Monte do Paio environmental centre in the coastal lagoon reserve. The setting is part of the experience and also requires visitors to respect marked routes, wildlife and staff instructions.
A fair announcement does not remove ordinary reserve rules. Do not disturb birds, leave a trail or enter a restricted area to obtain a closer view or photograph.
Prepare for a coastal outdoor day
Check the final programme for activity times, age or mobility requirements and any booking form. Bring suitable footwear, water and protection for the forecast rather than relying on the conditions at a town inland.
If wind, rain, fire risk or another safety issue changes the schedule, follow the organiser's notice. A full programme can include both open activities and sessions with limited places.
