IN BRIEF

The operator expects severe disruption from the afternoon of 19 October and says Line 2 passengers may need to change at Bento Gonçalves when only Lines 1 and 3 operate.

  • Severe disruption is expected from 16:30 on 19 October to 02:00 on 22 October.
  • The operator anticipates service only on Lines 1 and 3 during the main disruption window.
  • Further constraints may occur from 05:00 on 22 October to 02:00 on 28 October.
01

The first disruption window is the most extensive

The notice includes duties beginning on 19 October and ending on 20 October. Metro Transportes do Sul says Line 2 users should change at Bento Gonçalves to continue on Lines 1 and 3 where the announced operating plan applies.

A forecast of service is not a guarantee for every departure. Staffing, the strike response and later information can change the actual timetable.

02

Build a complete alternative

Check the bus, ferry or walking connection from the exact stop, not only the rail segment. Leave capacity and interchange margin, especially in the evening when the disruption crosses normal shift times.

Use the operator's current notice before travelling. If accessibility is required, confirm that the alternative route and stops meet the need.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Check the MTS notice for the exact day and time.

  2. 02

Line 2 users should plan for the Bento Gonçalves interchange.

  3. 03

Allow extra time and verify accessibility on any alternative.
