Archived 12 September 2026The programme is spread across the fairground and outdoor activity areas. Confirm start points, animal rules and any participation booking before setting out.
- The fair is at Cerca da Chada in Martim Longo on 10 and 11 October.
- Sunday includes a horse ride, walk and run, cooking session, honey competition and music.
- Hunting and animal activities form a central part of the event, alongside crafts and regional food.
Sunday mixes fairground and outdoor activity
The programme includes equestrian displays, cheese-making and hand-milking demonstrations, woodcraft, children's activity and a cooking showcase. The main Sunday concert is listed for 19:00.
Some walks, rides and sporting activities can require advance entry, a meeting place or suitable equipment. A general fair admission does not establish participation in every activity.
Make an informed family choice
The fair explicitly includes hunting, falconry, hounds and game-food traditions. Visitors who prefer to avoid those elements should review the detailed programme and choose areas and times accordingly.
For outdoor activity, take water, sun protection and footwear for uneven ground. Follow handlers' instructions around animals and do not feed or touch them without permission.
