IN BRIEF

The scheme has both a minimum and maximum household-income test and requires paid invoices. A household should check the full regulation before gathering documents.

  • Eligible gross household income runs from €14,700 to €35,688 inclusive under the published rules.
  • The one-off amount is €300 with no dependants, €400 with one and €500 with two or more.
  • Applications and eligible paid bills run to 15 November 2026 through the designated local partner.
01

Eligibility is narrower than the headline

The income test uses the household's total gross income and the 2025 IRS return and assessment. The rules also require Portuguese nationality or at least two years' residence in the Region, matching habitual and tax addresses, and evidence of work income and employment status for the applicant.

Income below €14,700 is not eligible under this particular measure. Other support routes may apply, but they are not automatically replaced by PROAGES II.

02

Only specified paid household bills count

Water, electricity, gas and telecommunications linked to the tax residence can count when paid between 1 January and 15 November 2026. Rent, mortgage payments, groceries and fuel do not count.

The household must show eligible paid costs at least equal to the amount claimed. Applications go to the social-economy organisation assigned to the applicant's parish; the programme lists 17 organisations covering all 11 municipalities.
