IN BRIEF

The contract starts a public-infrastructure project; it does not mean every property is connected today. Residents should use municipal or utility notices for street works, service changes and any property-level requirements.

  • The awarded contract is worth €472,102.60.
  • The construction period is 330 days.
  • The system is intended to carry wastewater to the Afonsoeiro treatment plant.
01

The project adds collection and pumping capacity

The new system is intended to collect wastewater in Lançada and convey it for treatment rather than leave the area outside the main route. SIMARSUL links the work to water-resource, ecosystem and public-health protection.

A signed contract establishes scope and price, but residents still need later information about the construction programme and affected streets.

02

Property connections are a separate question

The regional system does not automatically explain whether a private building must alter its connection or when a particular street will be disturbed. Those details belong to the utility and municipal implementation notices.

Keep access routes clear around signed works and contact the responsible body before changing private drainage. Never rely on a contractor's unsolicited payment request without verification.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Watch SIMARSUL and Montijo notices for the works programme.

  2. 02

Check property-level requirements with the responsible utility before doing private work.

  3. 03

Verify any contractor or payment request through an official contact.
