IN BRIEF

The diversion section changes between the two nights. Drivers should not reuse the first night's route from memory and should allow extra time for the lower-capacity alternative road.

  • The first closure runs between the Treixedo and Tondela Sul junctions.
  • The second runs between Canas de Santa Maria and São Miguel de Outeiro.
  • Both closures are planned for 21:00-05:00, with traffic diverted through the EN2.
01

Each night affects a different work front

The closures support the installation of structural elements in the IP3 duplication and requalification project. The first night concerns the southern section; the second concerns the approach closer to Viseu.

Temporary signs on the night take priority over a saved route. Work conditions can also alter the time at which the road reopens.

02

Protect timed connections

The EN2 has different junctions, speeds and local traffic from the IP3. A journey to a hospital, airport or fixed appointment needs a larger margin during the closure window.

Check the current road alert before leaving and avoid unsigned shortcuts through villages. Emergency and heavy-vehicle instructions should follow the directions issued on site.
