A visual introduction to Faro's water activities
Faro Ativo Náutico is designed to bring residents and visitors closer to the Ria Formosa and the local organisations working in nautical sport. The programme spans introductory experiences and demonstrations rather than one continuous open session.
The exact venue, minimum age, swimming requirement, equipment and capacity can differ between canoeing, sailing, board sports and kayaking.
Safety and availability decide the day
Check the organiser's current programme and registration position before travelling. Wind, thunderstorms, sea state and operational decisions may change or cancel a session.
Use the equipment and instructor provided for the activity, follow the safety briefing and disclose any relevant limitation. Never enter the water merely because another activity appears to be running nearby.
