IN BRIEF

The road remains open under traffic-light control, but queues can affect local and through journeys. Drivers should allow time and follow the temporary signal rather than attempting an unsigned bypass.

  • Alternating traffic applies during the daytime works window.
  • The affected section is about 200 metres long.
  • Completion is scheduled for 6 November, subject to site conditions.
01

The restriction protects a live work site

Infraestruturas de Portugal is stabilising the roadside slopes. One stream of vehicles passes at a time under temporary signals while crews and equipment occupy the section.

An expected completion date can move if the site or weather requires more work. The current signs are the operational source on the journey.

02

Short works can still create a long delay

Alternating traffic may build queues in both directions, particularly at busy local times. Leave a margin for school, work, rail or medical connections.

Do not pass a red temporary signal or follow another vehicle into the work zone after the permitted flow ends. Report a damaged or unlit signal through the responsible road channel.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Allow extra time between 08:00 and 18:00.

  2. 02

Obey the temporary traffic lights and site signs.

  3. 03

Check the current IP road alert before a time-critical journey.
