More than 100 local electricity interruptions are scheduled for today
E-REDES has planned short, localised interruptions on 30 August for network work. The published list includes parts of Lisbon, Loures, Coimbra, Viseu, Beja, Odemira, Quarteira and other municipalities—not entire cities or districts.

Archived 31 August 2026Households and small businesses can check the exact postcode before assuming they are affected, charge essential devices and keep electrical installations safe while work is under way.
- The work is scheduled and localised; a municipality appearing in the list does not mean every address will lose power.
- Examples include part of Arroios from 05:00 to 11:00, parts of Coimbra from 08:00 to 11:00 and locations in Quarteira from 07:00 to 11:00.
- Times and affected postcodes can change, so the E-REDES scheduled-work dataset is the final check for a specific address.
- Treat the installation as live throughout because power may return early or be restored temporarily for testing.
Check the address, not only the town name
Scheduled maintenance covers individual streets, postcodes or network sections. Reports list work in several districts, but the useful test is whether the exact supply address appears in the live E-REDES record for 30 August.
If you rely on powered medical equipment, refrigeration, remote work or an electrically operated gate, make a plan based on the published window and contact the responsible service if continuity is critical.
Prepare without creating a new electrical risk
Charge phones and essential batteries, save computer work and avoid beginning a task that depends on uninterrupted power. Do not work on wiring or assume a socket is safe simply because the electricity has stopped.
