IN BRIEF

The rules are not yet in force. They still require Municipal Assembly approval and a coordinated commencement with the amended fee table.

  • Proposed annual resident-permit fees are €27 for the first vehicle, €43 for the second and €109 for the third, charged cumulatively.
  • The first permit remains free for large families holding a valid municipal social card.
  • Proposed ZEDL prices are €0.80 per hour in tariff 1 and €1.20 per hour in tariff 2.
01

Access and parking become separate rights

Eight permit types are proposed. Access-only permits for a conditioned or pedestrian area would not carry an issue fee, while a resident permit may also confer parking rights under the rules for its zone.

Private-garage users inside a conditioned area could receive free access for proven spaces, but that would not allow parking on the public street.

02

The map does not make all 49 areas paid

The 49 areas provide a management framework; the proposal explicitly does not mean every street in them becomes paid or access-controlled. Zone-specific signs and decisions will remain decisive.

The default proposed charging hours are 08:00–19:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00–15:00 Saturday, with local exceptions possible. Wait for final approval, publication and the effective date before changing routine or buying a permit.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Check whether your street is actually designated before assuming a charge.

  2. 02

Prepare proof of residence, vehicle and private parking if relevant.

  3. 03

Follow the Municipal Assembly decision and commencement notice.
