IN BRIEF

Students and residents can plan around the confirmed dates, while checking tickets, access and city-centre disruption through the official event channels.

  • The event opens on 29 September and ends on 4 October.
  • The concert programme runs from 1 to 4 October.
  • KURA, Wet Bed Gang, Richie Campbell and Quim Barreiros are among the announced names.
  • Traditional academic ceremonies and ticketed concerts are different parts of the programme.
01

Tradition and concerts use different settings

The Festa das Latas welcomes new students through the Monumental Serenade, the Latada procession, the Mondego baptism and the imposition of faculty insignia. The evening concert programme is based at Praça da Canção.

A headline artist does not describe the full timetable. Check the official programme for the correct day, door time and ticket conditions, particularly if you only want to see a ceremony or one concert night.

02

Plan for a busier Coimbra

Large student events can change traffic, parking, public transport and noise around the route and venue. Residents with a time-sensitive journey should check municipal and operator notices close to the day.

Students should keep valuables secure, arrange a safe journey home and stay with friends. In an emergency call 112; for health guidance that is urgent but not an emergency, use SNS 24.
