Braga has added another tow truck for obstructive parking

What the extra vehicle changes
Braga's municipal police have added a tow truck to increase their ability to remove illegally or abusively parked vehicles. The municipality says the aim is a faster response when a parked car prevents normal movement or safe access.
Between May and July, municipal police removed 358 vehicles in breach. That total is presented by the municipality as evidence of recurring demand, not a forecast of how many removals will happen next.
Obstruction is the central issue
The examples named by the city include cars occupying pavements, blocking traffic, obstructing access to public facilities or using reserved areas improperly. These situations can force a wheelchair user, parent with a pushchair or pedestrian into the road.
A hazard light does not turn an obstructive stop into a permitted one. Nor does leaving a telephone number undo the immediate access problem.
If a vehicle has been removed
Use the official municipal-police contact to confirm whether the car was towed and where it was taken. Do not report it stolen before checking the location and registration details, unless there is evidence of theft.
Keep the notice and payment records if you intend to challenge the decision through the proper process. A disagreement at the collection point does not replace a formal appeal.
