IN BRIEF

The resignations raise questions about management and social-sector funding, but the responsible secretary says the institute continues to operate. Users should not abandon or repeat an application unless the service gives a case-specific instruction.

  • Three senior departures occurred between April and October.
  • The regional secretary says the operation of the institute is not at risk.
  • The vice-president is reported to remain in post until 31 December while replacements are prepared.
01

Reported management pressure is not a service-closure notice

Açoriano Oriental links the departures to delayed decisions, financial and budget management and worsening communication with the regional department. The regional secretary acknowledged the resignations but did not confirm those reported reasons.

The same reporting describes financial pressure on Azores social-sector institutions and a delayed cost study. Those issues matter, but they do not establish that an individual benefit, appointment or payment has been cancelled.

02

Protect the record of your own case

Continue using the official ISSA channel and keep submission receipts, reference numbers and written replies. If a deadline is close, ask for written confirmation of the next step instead of relying on informal reports about management changes.

An institution facing a funding or agreement issue should use its formal regional contact and professional advice. Public reporting cannot determine the legal or financial position of a particular organisation.

WHAT TO DO NEXT

What you can do now.

  1. 01

Keep proof of every Social Security submission and reply.

  2. 02

Ask the official service about any deadline affecting your case.

  3. 03

Separate confirmed service instructions from reported management disputes.
